Welcome to our Virtual Open House at Canberra Primary School!
Every great story begins with a single step, and we are delighted to have you here at the very start of yours. Consider this your prelude - a warm invitation to turn the pages and journey through the heart of Canberra Primary School, where every child is nurtured to become a Discoverer, a Learner, and a Leader.
Through the chapters ahead, you will catch a glimpse of who we are, hear our voices, witness curiosity in action, and see how passions are kindled and talents are grown. Each chapter tells a part of our story, and we hope that by the end of it, you will see a place where your child truly belongs.

Chapter 1: Our Story Begins
Chapter 2: Every Canberrian a Discoverer, Learner and Leader
This vision is at the heart of everything we do! We want every student
to be a Discoverer - curious, creative, and ready
to explore the world around them. As Learners, they
dive deep, think big, and fall in love with learning across all subjects.
We also help students grow as Leaders, encouraging
them to step up with confidence, kindness, and integrity - in class and
beyond.
With this mindset, every Canberrian is set to thrive and lead with purpose. We’re shaping confident, capable individuals who are ready to make a difference in the world!
Chapter 3: Together We Shine
Our theme “Together We Shine” reflects the spirit of friendship, care, and teamwork that can be seen in the daily life of our school. Our Primary One and Two students show the beauty of community and collaboration through the simple yet meaningful ways in which they support one another in class, during group work, and even during recess. Whether it is helping a friend, encouraging a classmate, working together to complete tasks, or celebrating each other’s achievements, our students remind us that learning and growing are always better when we do it together.
Join us as we share the special moments that show how, in Faculty 1, we truly shine brighter together.
Chapter 4: Every Child a Star
Faculty 2’s theme, “Every Child a STAR”, celebrated the unique talents and strengths of every student. Through meaningful learning experiences, our students built confidence, expressed themselves, and discovered their potential.
Our Primary 3 students explored Malay, Chinese, and Indian folktales through theatre activities, developing their communication skills, creativity, and confidence while appreciating stories from different cultures.
Our Primary 4 students took part in the Faculty’s first Celebration of Learning, where they explored traditional musical instruments and showcased their learning through performances. As part of the Curriculum Integration programme, they also participated in learning journeys that helped them understand the importance of sustainability through authentic, hands-on experiences.
Chapter 5: Together, We Achieve More
Faculty 3’s theme, “Together, We Achieve More”, highlighted the importance of teamwork. As part of this journey, our Primary 6 students visited the Enabling Village, where they learnt about inclusion and empathy through real-life experiences. Through this meaningful learning journey, they gained a better understanding of how people of different abilities live, learn, and work together in an inclusive community. The experience helped them appreciate the value of respect, understanding, and working together to achieve more.
