International Friendship Day
Friendship goes beyond borders as the school commemorated International
Friendship Day (IFD) from 7 to 10 April 2026.
The commemoration began with a lively assembly programme in the school
hall, where students were introduced to the importance of friendship, understanding,
and cooperation in today’s interconnected world. Through engaging presentations,
they reflected on how Singapore builds friendships with countries near
and far.
This was followed by FTGP lessons conducted in the classrooms, where students
explored ASEAN cultures more deeply through guided discussions and meaningful
activities. These lessons helped them appreciate diverse perspectives and
understand how respect and empathy strengthen relationships.
Over two days of recess activities, students brought their learning to
life by participating in traditional games and interactive challenges.
These hands-on experiences allowed them to connect with one another, celebrate
different cultures, and build new friendships.
Through these meaningful experiences, our students learned that friendship
is built on respect, understanding, and open-mindedness—making friends
around the world, one smile at a time.
