Internationalisation Trips
As part of our commitment to extending students’ learning beyond Singapore, our school organized two internationalisation trips for Primary 4 students in 2025. The trips include a 5-day, 4-night visit to Guangzhou, China, and a 4-day, 3-night visit to Jakarta, Indonesia.
These trips offer students the opportunity to immerse themselves in the local culture, participate in school programmes with our partner schools, and explore educational sites of interest in each country. Our partner school in Guangzhou, China is The Second Primary School of Guangzhou Economic & Technological Development District, while our partner school in Jakarta, Indonesia is Charis Global School.
The internationalisation trips aim to:
- facilitate the exchange of ideas
and meaningful interactions to broaden students’ global perspectives;
- develop 21st Century Competencies,
including global and cross-cultural awareness, effective communication
and collaboration skills, as well as critical, adaptive, and inventive
thinking;
- promote cross-cultural friendships and networking opportunities for students; and
- foster a deeper appreciation of what it means to be Singaporean, strengthening their sense of identity and belonging to the nation.
[A] Internationalisation Trip to Guangzhou, China
From 10 to 14 November 2025, a group of 24 Primary 4 students and 6 teachers embarked on an enriching internationalisation trip to Guangzhou, China, led by our Principal, Mr Tan. The highlight of the trip was a school immersion programme at The Second Primary School of Guangzhou Economic and Technological Development District (广州开放区第二小学), where our students interacted, collaborated, and learnt alongside their counterparts, fostering cross-cultural understanding and friendships.
Beyond the classroom, students explored Guangzhou’s rich heritage and modern developments through visits to key cultural and historical landmarks, including Yuexiu Park and its iconic Five Goats Statue, Canton Tower, the Ancient Port Museum at Huangpu Ancient Village, the Guangdong Museum, Foshan Ancestral Temple, Nanfeng Kiln, and the Guangdong Science & Technology Centre.
This meaningful experience expanded our students’ global perspectives, deepened their appreciation of Chinese culture, and reinforced the school’s commitment to nurturing confident and globally aware learners.
